To bring up a work of art from the deep well of creativity we need tools and containers. My pen, paper, computer, laptop, all work as rough tools, while the words and phrases are the containers. The cool drink of water is the poem, story or novel that they generate.

I am contacting you to let you know about Raindance: A Book Festival for Independent Authors. Unlike other events, Raindance is designed to meet the unique needs of independent writers. Our intention is to provide independent authors with some of the resources normally restricted to their trade published colleagues. The festival will operate on a collaborative model and all aspects of the event are intended to attract book buyers. Authors who actively work to promote this event will receive the greatest benefit and can reduce their effective cost of participation to only $25.
